Women's soccer locks up in 3-3 draw at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. - The women's soccer team scored three goals in the second half to erase a 2-0 halftime deficit in their 3-3 draw with Carthage on Saturday.

Greenville allow goals in the third and fifth minutes of the first half to fall behind 2-0 early in the match.

In the second half Jen De Leon De Leon posted her fourth goal of the season in the 60th minute to make it a 2-1 match, but Carthage came right back in the 63rd minute with the goal to make it 3-1.
In the last 15 minutes of the match, De Leon De Leon produced her fifth goal of the season to cut the score to 3–2, and Idaly Valenzuela posted a goal in the 89th minute to tie the score.

The Panthers were led with five shots by De Leon De Leon, three on goal. Valenzuela produced three shots.

Overall, the Panthers outshot Carthage 14-13.

Carly Wagner and Madison Ashford protected the goal for the Panthers. Wagner finished with three saves and allowed two goals, while Ashford produced three saves and only permitted one goal.

The Panthers (1-2-1) have a match up with Webster scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, in Greenville at 7 p.m.
