Women's soccer scores five second half goals in win over Webster

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team rallied for five goals in the second half to dismantle Webster and erase the Gorlok 2-0 halftime lead in a 5-2 Greenville victory on Wednesday night.

The Panthers allowed goals in the 10th and 34th minute of the first half before gaining their first goal on a shot from Idaly Valenzuela with 39:59 to play in the match.

Just six and a half minutes later, Jen De Leon De Leon took a rebound off the cross bar and headed it past the keeper to tie the score.

Greenville received the winning goal from Kiera Coleman with an assist from Allyson Schulz in the 70th minute before Shultz added a goal of her own in the 74th minute. Emma Cadwell capped the scoring in the 76th minute.

GU outshot Webster by better than a 2-to-1, 15-7, mark. Valenzuela paced GU with four shots.

Addison Miller worked all 90 minutes, collecting one save and allowing both first half Webster goals in a 90 minute outing.

The Panthers (2-2-1, 1-0 SLIAC) will go to Principia for a match on Saturday.
