Women's soccer downs Principia 5-0

ELSAH, Ill. - A complete team effort gave the women's soccer team a 5–0 victory at Principia on Saturday. The Panthers outshot Principia 33–2, building 3-0 lead in the first half and winning 5-0.

The Panthers goalkeeper Addison Miller collected the shutout, facing two shots, both on goal.

Nina Torvisco opened the scoring for GU with a goal in the fifth minutes.

After nearly forty minutes went by, the Panthers received a goal from Nicolo Garvaro and Ashlie Johnston Cabral to lead 3-0 at halftime.

In the second period, Alexis Romeo and Jen De Leon De Leon added goals.

Idaly Valenzuela led GU with six shots. De Leon De Leon and Kiera Coleman each provided four shots.

The Panthers (3-2-1) will go to Spalding for a match on Wednesday.
