Women's soccer nipped 1-0 by Webster

FENTON, Mo. - The women's soccer team played Webster for the second time this season, and a first half goal from Webster was all that was needed in the Gorloks 1-0 win on Wednesday.

The Gorloks received a goal in the 14th minute.

The Panthers trailed the shot competition with Webster holding a 15-9 lead. The difference came in the first half when the Gorloks outshot GU 8-2, but the Panthers evened the shot attempts at 7-7 in the second half.

Idaly Valenzuela paced Greenville with four shots while Nina Torvisco had three shots, two on target.

Addison Miller faced 15 Gorlok shots, including six attempts on frame. Miller ended with five saves.

The Panthers (7-4-2, 6-2-1 SLIAC) will host first place Fontbonne on Saturday at 3 p.m. in GU's Homecoming match.
