Women's soccer downed by Westminster goal with three seconds to play

FULTON, Mo. - The women's soccer team dropped Wednesday night's match 1-0 at Westminster in a heartbreaker. The Panthers allowed a goal with just three seconds remaining to spoil their shutout effort, and the loss gave up an opportunity for an important point in the conference standings.

GU outshot Westminster in the first half by a 6-5 margin, but the Blue Jays posted a 7-2 shot advantage in the second half.

Greenville's goalkeeper Addison Miller collected four saves in the match, and Jen De Leon De Leon provided four shots including three shots on goal.

The Panthers (7-6-2, 6-4-1 SLIAC) return to action on Saturday at Blackburn. The Panthers are currently positioned to host a first round match in the SLIAC tournament.
