Women's soccer eases past Eureka 9-0

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team pounded Eureka with an onslaught of 42 shots in their 9-0 win on Wednesday night. Ashlie Johnston Cabral led Greenville with a three goal hat trick in the effort.

Allyson Schulz added two goals and one assist for Greenville, and Athena Hagerman and Jen De Leon De Leon posted a goal and assist.

Nina Torvisco and Samantha De La Cruz also provided a goal for GU.

Emma Cadwell and Mia Long each had a pair of assists. Kellen Price and Vanessa Ramirez also added an assist.

The Panthers were led by nine shots from De Leon and six from Cabral and Long.

Addison Miller and Madison Ashford combined for the shutout. Ashford faced the only shot in the second half.

The Panthers (9-6-2, 8-4-1 SLIAC) host Spalding on Saturday at 4 p.m. in their final regular season match, and the Panthers will host a match in Greenville on Nov. 1 against either Spalding or Principia.
