Women's soccer topped 3-0 by Trine at Wheaton

WHEATON, Ill. – The women's soccer team gained their second loss in the Bob Baptista Invitational on Saturday. Greenville lost 3-0 to Trine.

Greenville quickly fell behind Trine when Ellie Price scored the Thunder's first goal of the game just after the 1st-minute mark. Trine scored again in the 23rd and 44th minutes.

The Panthers trailed 3-0 with zero shots at halftime. The second half consisted of eight more shots from Trine but no additional goals. Greenville was outshot 20-0, and the game ended 3-0 in Trine's favor.

However, Greenville's goalkeeper, Madison Ashford, ended the game with eight total saves.

The Panthers' next matchup will be against Rose-Hulman at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Francis Field.
