GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team lost its Homecoming match 1-0 to Webster at Francis Field. GU posted seven shots in the match but Webster's goal in the 30th minute held up.

After no shots in the first half and trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Panthers attempted a comeback in the second half. 

Samantha De La Cruz had a shot within the first four minutes of the second half, but it didn't land. 

Vanessa Ramirez led the team with two shots, yet neither of them managed to make it across the goal line. 

Addison Miller was in the net for Greenville and had four saves. 

GU received their second conference loss of the season on Saturday, putting them in third place in the SLIAC standings. 

The Panthers (7-6-3, 6-2 SLIAC) host Washington-St. Louis on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Francis Field.
