Women's soccer tops MUW 3-0 to enter SLIAC tournament as No. 3 seed

COLUMBUS, Miss. - The women's soccer team notched a 3-0 win at MUW on Saturday as the team completed regular season play.

Angie Stedman kicked it off for the Panthers with her goal in the 28th minute, assisted by Ashlie Johnston Cabral.

Alexis Roberts tacked on another one in the first half with an assist from Emma Cadwell

The Panthers were leading 2-0 after the first half.

Cabral had a goal of her own in the second half, assisted by Allyson Schulz, making it 3-0. 

Greenville outshot the Owls 11-5. 

Addison Miller started in the net for the Panthers and had three saves. Carly Wagner took over in the second half and had two saves. Miller was awarded with the win. 

The Panthers (8-7-3. 7-2 SLIAC) finished third in the SLIAC standings, and they will host a rematch against MUW at Francis Field on Tuesday.
