Women's soccer surrendars Spalding's winning goal in final minute

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team suffered an excruciating double overtime 1-0 loss to Spalding in the championship match of the SLIAC tournament on Saturday afternoon. Spalding scored the winning goal with just under one minute to play.

Panthers Emma Cadwell and Sam De La Cruz earned GU's entries on the All-Tournament team.

Greenville only allowed four shots during the match, and the Panthers had 14 shots of their own. Greenville's top shooter was Angie Stedman with three.

The Panthers concluded their season with an overall record of 10-8-3.
