HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The women's tennis team had a successful opening day of competition on Spring Break with an 8-1 triumph over Concordia Wisconsin and a 9-0 blanking of Lancaster Bible.
Greenville received an 8-2 win from Mireia Birosta and Addison Brannon in No. 1 doubles and a 8-1 win from Shaling Reynolds and Claudia Principal in No. 2 doubles. The No. 3 duo of Sarah Brannon and Callie Adkins won 8-0.
Birosta and Addison Brannon each had 6-1, 6-1 wins in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
No. 3 Reynolds and No. 5 Stephanie Kamp earned 6-0. 6-0 wins.
No. 4 Principal gained a 6-0, 6-2 win, and No. 6 Buratovich picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory.
Scores from the Concordia match are not yet available.
The Panthers (5-5) play Carroll (Wisconsin) on Wednesday in their next Spring Break match.
