JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The women's tennis team was challenged more closely by Illinois College at the bottom of the lineup, but ultimately, the Panthers came away with a 9-0 victory on Wednesday.
The Panthers No. 2 doubles team of Shaling Reynolds and Claudia Principal had a dominating 8-0 win.
In No. 1 doubles, Mireia Birosta and Addison Brannon took an 8-2 win.
The No. 3 doubles team of Emily Buratovich and Callie Adkins had a more lengthly match but won 8-5.
In No. 1 singles, Birosta grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win.
No. 2 Brannon did not have a difficult time in disposing of her opponent 6-0, 6-1.
No. 3 Reynolds took a 6-1, 6-1 win, and No. 4 Principal won 6-1, 6-0.
No. 5 Stephanie Kamp earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory, and No. 6 Adkins was challenged but came up with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph.
The Panthers (6-6) face Webster and Westminster on Saturday at Webster.
