Women's indoor track and field makes it two straight SLIAC indoor titles

ELSAH, Ill. - The women's indoor track and field team earned their second consecutive SLIAC indoor championship, recording 259 points to outpace second place Webster who had 84 points. The Panthers were winners in eight events.

Alexa Seger was the victor in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.02 seconds.

Taylor Tucker took the championship in the 200 meter dash, clocking a time of 26.22 seconds.

Greenville's distance medley relay included Vanessa Compton, Payten Geppert, Eva Schwaab, and Leah Brown, and they clocked a time of 15:56.19, earning Greenville 10 points.

Cayden Sharp gained Greenville a victory in the high jump, posting a clearance of 1.60 meters.

Sara Yakana was the winner in the long jump with a distance of 4.85 meters, and her teammate Katieanna Williams collected a win in the triple jump with a mark of 11.08 meters.

Tawny Rodriguez picked up two championships in the throwing events. She had a winning attempt of 11.94 meters in the shot put and 14.39 meters in the weight throw.

Next weekend the Panthers will compete in NCAA Division III qualifying meets.
