GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's volleyball team dispatched Eureka quickly on Tuesday night at H.J. Long Gymnasium, winning the match 25-7, 25-10, 25-13.
The Panthers set the tone in the opening set, collecting 13 kills and two errors in 26 attacks for a hitting percentage of .423. In set two, Greenville finished with a 16/5/39/.282 clip before concluding the match at 9/6/39/.077.
Jasmin Smith led a balanced Greenville scoring attack with 10 points, six coming on kills, three on service aces, and two block assists.
Anna Finch provided eight and half points with a team-high eight kills and a block assist.
Peyton Morris was right between Finch and Smith with seven kills.
Jordan Lempa added 20 set assists for the Panthers, and she also picked up a match-high five service aces.
The Panthers (8-2, 2-0 SLIAC) will be right back at it on Wednesday in H.J. Long Gymnasium when Blackburn visits GU. First serve occurs one hour earlier than originally scheduled at 6 p.m. The Panthers and Beavers will play the varsity match at 6 p.m., followed by the junior varsity at approximately 8 p.m.
