Women's volleyball drops matches against Illinois Wesleyan and Concordia Wisconsin

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The women's volleyball team dropped two matches on Saturday at Illinois Wesleyan during IWU's tournament. Greenville fell in a four-set match to Illinois Wesleyan before dropping a three-set match against Concordia Wisconsin.

Greenville was led in the match against IWU by Mia Bonacorsi who finished with a team-high 15 kills and 20 digs. Sacorra Patton contributed 12 kills in GU's 25-21, 25-19, 17-25, 25-23 loss.

Amanda Hollis provided Greenville with 18 set assists, and Kaitlin Murray added 16 set assists.

Chasity Hill was effective in the back row with 19 digs.

At the net, Mia deJesus posted six block assists.

The Panthers struggled against Concordia Wisconsin, taking a 25-18, 25-7, 25-21 loss as they posted a hitting percentage of .036 while Bonacorsi sat out.

Patton was GU's attacking leader in the second match with seven kills while also contributing two service aces, and Murray added 10 set assists.

Hill led the Panthers in the match with 11 digs, and Lainey Hicks posted four block assists.

The Panthers (3-4) host Illinois College on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in H.J. Long Gymnasium.
