Women's volleyball extends winning streak to four in three set win at Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. - The volleyball team won for the second straight night in three sets. On Wednesday, the Panthers topped Eureka 25-19, 25-13, 25-19 to end on the good side in their fourth straight match.

The Panthers hit very well all night, ending with 44 kills and 11 errors on 117 swings to finish at a .282 hitting percentage.

Greenville utilized their bench in the match, and three players ended up with seven or more kills. Mia Bonacorsi led GU with eight kills and no errors in 19 attacks to post a .421 hitting percentage. Sacorra Patton also had eight kills, and Lainey Hicks added seven kills.

Kaitlin Murray and Amanda Hollis posted 24 and 16 assists, respectively.

The Panthers had an effective service game, picking up seven aces. Bonacorsi tallied three aces, and Hicks posted two aces.

Greenville's defensive specialist Chasity Hill posted 22 digs while Mia deJesus added one solo block and two block assists.

The Panthers (8-5, 4-0 SLIAC) will play third place Spalding on Saturday on the road in their second match of the week against the Golden Eagles.
