ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The women's cross country team used top seven finishes of juniors Brooke Goodyear and Lia Kruse to collect a fourth place showing at the Augustana (IL) Brissman-Lundeen Invitational.
Goodyear produced a time of 23:58 on the six kilometer course as she was fifth in Greenville's race. Kruse was just six seconds behind as her time of 24:04 was seventh.
Shirley Estes was about wo minutes behind Goodyear and Kruse's pace as she was 48th with a time of 26:02.
Nine seconds later Jordie File crossed the finish line in 53rd place with a 26:11.
Megan McKee rounded out the collection of Greenville's scoring runners as she ranked 63rd with a time of 26:26.
The women led a host of participants from SLIAC institutions as Greenville defeated Webster, Westminster, and Principia.
The Lady Panthers next compete on Friday, Sept. 30, at Olivet Nazarene.
