Women's cross country captures third place at Olivet Nazarene

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The women's cross country team was led by a seventh place overall finish by Gretchen Carie at the Olivet Nazarene Tiger Cross Country Invitational on Friday. Greenville ended with 67 points for third place of six teams.

Carie posted a time of 20:27 in the five kilometer race to give the Panthers five points in the team standings.

Brook Schutt was Greenville's second finisher, placing 12th overall with a time of 20:55 for nine points, and Sedina Logan ranked 31st at 22:42 for 16 points.

Olivia Mansfield and Norah Swinigan finished 33rd and 34th, only being separated by one second with a time of 22:50 and 22:51, respectively. They took 18 and 19 points.

The Panthers will be off until they compete at Aurora on Saturday, Oct. 1, on the same course where they will compete later in the season at the NCAA Division III regionals.
