Women's cross country places second in Greenville Classic

HILLSBORO, Ill. - The women's cross country team earned second place of seven teams at the Greenville Classic on Friday.

Greenville's scoring positions provided them with 45 points, falling short to Mineral Area who compiled a top score of 30 points.

Gretchen Carie, Olivia Mansfield, and Brook Shut all recorded times in the top ten. Carie's time of 19:53 was third, Mansfield in 20:28 was fifth, and Schutt was seventh in 20:36.

The Panthers received their final two scoring placements from Norah Swinigan in 16th place (21:33) and Leah Brown in 19th place (21:57)

Greenville will return to action at the SLIAC championships on October 29 in Louisville, Ky.
