Women's cross country rolls to 18th SLIAC cross country title

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Running on a pleasant end-of-October day, the Greenville University Panthers came away with the team title at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country championships. Totaling 24 points, the Panthers earned their 18th title and second in the last three years.

The women tied for the lowest score since 2019 as the Panthers placed their five scoring runners in the top seven finishers.

Gretchen Carie led the way, finishing 2nd with a time of 24:27, her fastest time this season.

Once Brook Schutt crossed the finish line in fourth place, the spectators saw a run of four Greenville runners in a row. Following Schutt were Olivia Mansfield, Norah Swinigan, and Sedina Logan.

The Panthers will resume their season at the NCAA Division III regional championships on Nov. 12 in Aurora, Ill.
