Women's cross country places 17th at NCAA midwest regional

AURORA, Ill. - The women's cross country season concluded on Saturday at the NCAA Division III regionals where the Panthers placed 17th of 29 teams.

Greenville's top runner was Olivia Mansfield who was 80th in 24:37.

Gretchen Carie took Greenville's second spot with a 91st place time of 24:52.

The No. 3 runner for the Panthers was Sedina Logan with a 118th place time of 25:53.

Norah Swinigan was fourth for GU with 121st place (25:57), and Brook Shutt's time of 26:28 ranked 130th.

The Panthers accrued a team score of 532 points. Elmhurst was ahead of GU with 415 points, and Cornell was right behind Greenville in 18th place with a score finishing at 549.

Wartburg's women's cross country team was the regional champion with 36 points.

The team completed a successful season that included the SLIAC championship.
