Baseball offense rocks Principia in doubleheader win

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The baseball team received a pair of wins on Saturday over Principia. Greenville scored in all but one inning in a game one 13-1 win, and they posted an 11-5 win in game two.

In game one, Jacob Sutton, Landon Mokris, and Snyder Pennington all recorded home runs.

Greenville had five players with multiple RBI, led by Mokris with four and Sutton with three.

Sutton, Mokris, Pennington, and Markus Isaiah all had two hits, and Mokris, Dylan Hill, Rhett Pennington, Isaiah, and Zack McClease scored two runs.

Stephen Hardwick started on the mound and gave up one run in four innings.

Terry Millikan pitched three scoreless innings and only allowed three hits to pick up the win.

Game two went GU's way from the outset when the team accrued five runs over the first two innings.

George Schneider made his way on base regularly with two hits and a walk. He scored four runs.

Sutton, Mokris, and S. Pennington each added two hits.

Cade Buehnerkemper, Luke McBee, Luke Fleener, Ty Kueper, Braden Maltbie, Ian Wilson, and Jacob Hammer stared the pitching duties.

Buehnerkemper and Maltbie each recorded two scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

The Panthers (9-18, 3-5 SLIAC) will host Eureka on Tuesday afternoon in a doubleheader.
