GREENVILLE, Ill. - When the most recent standings for the 2020-21 Bass Pro Shops School of the Year were published, the Greenville University fishing team was third in its national ranking of 140 teams.

Gaining 725 points at the FLW Central event at La Crosse, Wis., on August 21, 500 points at the BASS College Series event on Lake Hartwell from Aug. 27-29, and 660 points at the FLW Central event on the Ohio River on Sept. 11, the team accumulated 1885 points, putting them just ahead of regional rival McKendree who was fourth.

Greenville's total of 1885 points placed them behind only Murray State (2190) and Western Michigan (2040) in the nation-wide standings.

The team moved up seven places from their 10th place standing on Sept. 2, and they will look to ascend even further in their upcoming events in Kentucky at Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
