Men's basketball tops Webster 125-111

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's basketball team never trailed in their 125-111 win over Webster at home on Saturday afternoon. Adrian Alvarez provided a team-high 20 points for the Panthers.

The Panthers led 61-48 at halftime and added another point to their lead with a 64-63 advantage in the second half.

In addition to Alvarez with 20, Kiarie Patrick provided 16 points, and Vincent Rodriguez and Carlos Crespo each had 14 points.

Kaidyn Johnson showed his efficiency with 12 points in seven minutes, and Grimmett Glenn posted 11 points.

The Panthers recorded 20 steals in the contest by forcing Webster into 25 turnovers.

Rodriguez, Johnson, and Jamie Calmese led the Panthers with three steals, and Rodriguez added six assists.

The Panthers had five players with four rebounds to lead the team. Patrick, Ja'Rod Webb, Rodriguez, Alvarez, and Crespo all posted four caroms.

The Panthers (6-4, 2-1 SLIAC) go to Spalding to avenge last Saturday's loss on Wednesday night in their second matchup with the Golden Eagles.
