Men's basketball moves back into first place tie with

COLUMBUS, Miss. - The men's basketball team worked their way back into first place in the SLIAC standings with a 119-112 win at MUW on Saturday. The Panthers received 21 points from Ja'Rod Webb in the win.

The Panthers and Owls went to halftime tied at 56-all, and the Panthers took over the game by outscoring the Owls 63-56 in the second half.

Greenville had a total of six players that reached double figures in the scoring column. In addition to Webb, Grimmett Glenn added 14 points and Kiarie Patrick and Carlos Crespo each had 12.

Christian Bennett added 11 points, and Vincent Rodriguez provided 10 points.

Patrick finished as GU's leading rebounder with nine, and Rodriguez passed out seven assists.

The Panthers (16-7, 11-5 SLIAC) host Eureka on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
