GALESBURG, Ill. -- The men's tennis team extended their perfect record with a pair of 8-1 wins on a road trip to Knox on Saturday.
The Panthers opened the day with an 8-1 win against St. Ambrose.
Their winners included the No. 2 doubles team of Daniel Pieplow and Zach Plocher and the No. 3 doubles team including Gabriel Munoz and Austin Burkhart.
Singles winners were No. 1 Nate Wieland, No. 2 Munoz, No. 3 Pieplow, No. 4 Munoz, No. 5 Justin Tilford, and No. 6 Burkhart.
The match against Know was also won by an 8-1 final.
The No. 1 doubles team of Wieland and Tilford picked up a win after falling earlier in the day.
Burkhart and Jeremiah Brannon teamed up for a win at No. 2 doubles, and Brock Renshaw and Micah Harlad won at No. 3 doubles.
After a perfect doubles run, No. 1 Wieland, No. 2 Munoz, No. 3 Pieplow, No. 4 Plocher, and No. 6 Burkhart picked up wins.
The Panthers (4-0) host Franklin and Illinois College on Saturday.
