Men's tennis pushes streak to four with 7-2 win over Illinois Wesleyan

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The men's tennis team gained a 7-2 victory over Illinois Wesleyan on Friday night, extending their match winning streak to four.

The Panthers opened the match with a 2-1 advantage in doubles, gaining wins at No. 1 and No. 3.

Andres Sanchez and Rafael Rodriguez earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, while Austin Burkhart and Thibaut Tignee collected an 8-4 win in No. 3 doubles.

Greenville received a 6-4, 6-0 win from Sanchez in No. 1 singles, and No. 2 Rodriguez gathered a 6-1, 6-2 triumph.

Lucas Motsinger was a 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 winner in No. 4 singles, and Tignee won 6-0, 6-0 in No. 6 singles.

No. 3 Clark Kent gained a win in his match when his Titan opponent retired.

The Panthers (9-1) will resume their season on March 14 in Hilton Head, S.C., during their spring break trip.
