GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's tennis team played Hendrix at home on Friday afternoon and was defeated 7-2 by the Warriors.
Hendrix took the early lead with two of three wins in doubles. Greenville's No. 2 duo of Clark Kent and Luke Motsinger rolled to an 8-2 win, but the Panthers lost 8-6 in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
Greenville had two singles matches reach a third set tiebreaker. The Panthers won the tiebreaker in No. 5 singles when Motsinger captured a 1-6, 6-2, 10-8 victory.
No. 2 Rafael Rodriguez lost his match in a tiebreaker 6-3, 2-6, 11-9.
The Panthers (14-7) will play at Westminster on Tuesday in two matches at 3 p.m.
