Men's tennis records two 6-0 sweeps in Indiana

HANOVER, Ind. - The men's tennis team bagged a pair of shortened 6-0 wins over Hanover and Franklin on Saturday.

The team opened with a victory over Franklin.

The doubles combinations of No. 1 Andres Sanchez and Rafael Rodriguez and No. 3 Thibaut Tignee and Jean Rigaud Sanabria each posted 8-2 wins. The No. 2 team of Luke Motsinger and Clark Kent recorded a 8-5 win.

In singles, No. 1 Sanchez, No. 2 Rodriguez, and No. 5 Sanabria posted dominating straight sets wins.

Greenville also led in the three unfinished matches.

The match against Hanover only featured singles competition.

Greenville swept through all flights of singles in straight sets.

No. 1 Sanchez, No. 2 Rodriguez, No. 3 Kent, No. 4 Motsinger, No. 5 Sanabria, and No. 6 Santiago Jaimes comprised the lineup of victors.

Sanchez went to a tiebreaker in the second set, and Jaimes played a tiebreaker in the first set.

The Panthers (10-5) will play Rose-Hulman on Friday in Greenville.
