Cross country and track and field programs hire Scott Wilson as assistant coach

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's and women's cross country and track and field programs have hired Scott Wilson as their newest assistant coach.  He will serve as specialty coach for the sprinters in track and field and brings with him over 20 years of successful collegiate coaching experience.

From 1999-2014, Scott served at Anderson University where he directed their cross country and track and field programs.  Over his tenure at Anderson, he was a conference coach of the year five times in track and field and three times in cross country.  His teams won nine conference championships, and he was a head coach or assistant coach for four national qualifying cross country teams.

He has also served as the head coach and assistant coach for the cross country and track and field programs at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles.

During his competitive career, he was a Wisconsin high school state champion and an NCAA Division III All-American while a student-athlete at Wheaton College.

Scott and his wife Jennifer have two sons, Michael and Wynn.
