Jeremiah Davis of men's track and field awarded NCCAA athlete of the meet honors

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's track and field team was notified that Jeremiah Davis, a freshman from Chicago, Ill., was selected by NCCAA coaches as its male athlete of the meet after the NCCAA outdoor national championships.

Davis collected national championships in the 100 and 200 meter dashes and was part of the third place 4x100 meter relay team.

Davis posted a time of 10.67 seconds in the 100 and 21.34 seconds in the 200.

He joined Bobby Neal, Manny Benitez, and Jarrid Williams to clock a time of 42.81 seconds in the 4x100 meter relay.

He was a part of 26 of Greenville's 116 points as the Panthers were national runners up.
