Men's indoor track and field competes at Eastern Illinois

CHARLESTON, Ill. - The men's indoor track and field team sent four participants to Eastern Illinois on Friday.  Chris Crawford, Mitchell Hooten, Jeremiah Davis, and Alex Fink represented Greenville in four events.

Greenville's top performer was Davis who clocked a time of 6.90 seconds in the preliminary heat of the 60 meter dash before advancing to the finals where his time of 6.95 seconds tied for third.

Crawford provided a throw of 14.95 meters (49 feet-0.75 inches) to take fourth in the weight throw competition.

Fink gave Greenville a fifth place mark in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.57 seconds.

Hooten posted fifth and sixth place performances in his events.  He gave GU an effort of 13.7 meters (44-11.5) in the shot put to place fifth, and he threw the weight 13.18 meters (43-3) which was good for sixth.

The indoor track and field teams will continue their season on Friday and Saturday at Principia.
