Men's track and field captures two wins at Greenville Select Meet

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's track and field team took the third place position at the sixth annual Greenville Select meet on Saturday.

Jeremiah Davis won the 100 meter dash in 10.93 seconds, and he was second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.68 seconds.

Rakim Murphy recorded the top distance in the long jump with a leap of 6.98 meters (22 feet-11 inches).

Mitchell Hooten was second in the discus with a mark of 45.18 meters (148-3)

Chris Crawford ranked second in the hammer throw as he reached 53.13 meters (174-4).

Mahari Holt, Davis, Di'Mond Salmond, and Murphy completed the 4x100 in second place with a time of 42.14 seconds.

Overall, Greenville accrued 86 points with only WashU and Monmouth above them in the team totals.

The Panthers go to Rose-Hulman for a meet on Friday.
