Men's indoor track and field tops seven teams in win at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The men's indoor track and field team defeated seven other squads on Saturday at Illinois College, collecting 148 points and doubling their next closest competitor in a dominating effort.

Greenville was led by 11 first or second place finishes including four wins.

Kaleb Carlson was the winner in the one mile run, posting a time of 4:27.20.

Dylan Webster captured a pair of wins, taking the 55 meter hurdles in 8.94 seconds and clearing a height of 4.41 meters in the pole vault. He was also second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.88 meters.

Nate Brown had a first place distance in the weight throw, posting a distance of 17.60 meters.

Courtney Anderson produced a pair of second place marks, running 6.39 seconds in the 55 meter dash and 23.11 seconds in the 200 meter dash.

Lukas Baird was the number two man in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.87.

Hunter Matthews reached a height of 1.88 meters in high jump in his runner up finish.

Wesley Kile gave Greenville a 1-2 finish in the pole vault with a height of 4.16 meters.

Isaac Green posted a long jump mark of 6.40 meters in a second place finish.

The Panthers will send qualifying members of the team to the NCCAA national championships next weekend at Cedarville.
