Men's track and field wins at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. - The men's track and field team took first place at Monmouth on Saturday, collecting 213 points and defeating the host by nearly 60 points.

Greenville's 4x100 meter relay team included Chase LaTouche, Carson Rantanen, Jared Beyers, and C.J. Anderson, and they finished first in 41.68 seconds.

Anderson won the 100 meter dash in 10.57 seconds and Rantanen was the winner in the 200 meter dash in 22.23 seconds.

Kaleb Carlson was the winner in the 800 meter run, clocking a time of 1:56.50.

Noel Andino, Joe Gomez, Collin Kessinger, and Claudio Trevino teamed up for a win in the 4x400 meter relay, posting a time of 3:23.85.

In the field evens, Dylan Webster won the pole vault with a clearance of 4.45 meters.

Nate Brown also posted a distance of 46.12 meters in the discus, taking the top spot.

Colton Rich provided a winning throw of 49.30 meters in the javelin.

The Panthers will host the NCCAA national championships in Greenville starting on Wednesday.
