Men's track and field records pair of titles at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The men's track and field team collected wins from Cory Stoll and Colton Rich in their second place finish at Illinois College on Saturday.

Cory Stoll leapt 6.69 meters (21 feet-11.5 inches) in his first place long jump effort.

Colton Rich finished as GU's other winner with a first place throw of 52.83 meters (173-4) in the javelin.

Stoll also combined with Chase LaTouche, Kourtland Harris, and Ayden Cothern for second in the 4x100 meter relay and completed the race in 42.35 seconds.

Cothern added third place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.96 meters, and Harris ranked third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.68 seconds.

Austin Ball led the hurdlers when he placed second in 400 meter hurdles (57.58 seconds) and third in 110 meter hurdles (16.05 seconds).

Tony Lakotich produced third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.54 seconds.

Jordan Peternel ended with third place in long jump with an effort of 6.36 meters (20-10.5), and Blake Thebeau placed third in hammer with a mark of 48.77 meters (160-0).

The men will compete in their annual Greenville Select Meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Francis Field.
