Dean Wallace joined the Greenville coaching staff in 2023 as the horizontal and vertical jumps coach for the program.

Wallace comes to Greenville with an undergraduate degree in kinesiology physical education and a master’s degree in performance psychology, both earned at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in South Texas. He also competed as a multi-event specialist for the Javelinas for five years, as well as coaching the jumps during his last year there.

Prior to coaching, Wallace placed ninth in the heptathlon at the 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, cementing his status as an All-American. Wallace was also a national qualifier in the pole vault.

Other career accolades include winning the 2020 Lone Star Conference heptathlon championship and helping the men's squad to the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championship.

Additionally, he was a six-time All-LSC selection across four indoor and four outdoor seasons. Wallace sported PRs of 5440 in the heptathlon, 6798 in the decathlon, 23 feet-5.5 inches in the long jump and 16-6.75 in the pole vault.
