Softball assigned to Holland, Mich., Regional

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The softball team has been placed in the NCAA regional hosted by Hope in Holland, Mich.  The Panthers qualified for their third straight NCAA national tournament by winning the championship of the SLIAC tournament on Saturday.

Greenville (21-15) will play Hope on Thursday.  It is a double-elimination regional.

The winner of the Hope Regional will face the winner of the St. Mary's (Ind.) Regional.

The Panthers have faced a number of opponents in the NCAA field, including Calvin, Transylvania, St. Mary's, and Luther.  Calvin was assigned to the same regional as the Panthers.

Thursday
