GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's tennis team won for the second time in three matches and collected a 7-2 win over UHSP on Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers picked up wins in No. 3 doubles and the No. 5 and No. 6 flights of singles when UHSP only fielded a team of four players, but the Panthers won four of the six matches played.
In the two doubles matches contested, the Panthers won in No. 2 doubles when Emily Buratovich and Stephanie Kamp picked up an 8-3 win.
Singles wins were posted by No. 2 Addison Brannon, No. 3 Callie Adkins, and No. 4 Natalia Higashi. Adkins controlled her opponent with a 6-2, 6-0 win.
Brannon was a 6-4, 6-4 winner, and Higashi won 6-4, 6-0.
The Panthers (5-11) will host Webster on Wednesday, April 12, at 3 p.m.
