Women's indoor track and field paced by Staley and Kruse at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The women's indoor track and field team began their season at Illinois College on Saturday.  Three Panther entries finished in scoring positions for Greenville.

Jessica Staley picked up a pair of high finishes.

Staley was fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27:56, and she posted a sixth place time in the 60 meter dash as she finished in 8.33 seconds.

Lia Kruse posted a fifth place position in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:10.

Victoria Papez provided the Panthers with a ninth place performance in the weight throw with a distance of 12.89 meters (42 feet-3.5 inches).

The Panthers will next compete at Principia on Friday and Saturday.
