The NCCAA formally inducted Greenville University head men’s and women’s cross country and track and field coach Brian Patton into the organization’s Hall of Fame at a banquet on Thursday, May 30, in South Carolina.
The women’s track and field team earned the conference runner-up position at the SLIAC championships on Friday and Saturday at the John M. Strahl Athletic Complex.
The women's track and field team competed at the WashU meet over the weekend. The women posted 19 points to finish sixth of the 14 teams represented at the event.
The women’s track and field team opened their outdoor season at the WashU mini meet on Saturday. Deborah Cunningham recorded Greenville’s high placement with a second place mark in the hammer throw.
The women’s indoor track and field team managed to take the second place position at Saturday’s SLIAC indoor invitational with 116 points. Greenville had two event champions and four entries who received second place.
The women's indoor track and field team received a third place finish from Victoria Papez in the weight throw as they placed fourth at Principia with 50 points.
The NCCAA has announced that Greenville University head men's and women's cross country and track and field coach Brian Patton will be inducted into the NCCAA Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2019. He will be joined by Dr. Keith Connor (Southern Wesleyan University), Judy Fox (Ignite International), and Chet Kammerer (Grace College) with a formal induction at the NCCAA Hall of Fame Banquet on Thursday, May 30, at the NCCAA Annual Convention in Greenville, S.C.
The women’s track and field team started their 2018-19 campaign at the Illinois Wesleyan first chance meet. Jessica Staley provided Greenville’s top placement on the day with a runner up performance in the 300 meter dash.
