Women's track and field led by Sharp at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. - The women's track and field team had a number of top performances in the meet at Principia on Friday and Saturday.

Cayden Sharp tied the pentathlon school record for the long jump at 17 feet-0 inches.

Sharp reached 5-1.75 in the high jump and clocked a time of 2:57 in the 800.

Sharp also recorded a personal best in the pentathlon with 2821 points.

Tawny Rodriguez had lifetime best in the shot put (37-4) and weight throw (38-11.75).

Prior to the weekend, Emma Leonhard's best mile was 6:13. This weekend she ran 6:02 on Friday night and 6:06 on Saturday.

The Panthers travel to Illinois College in Jacksonville next Saturday.
