Women's volleyball pushes No. 12 WashU to four sets

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's volleyball team took a set from No. 12 Washington-St. Louis before falling 25-16, 25-21, 17-25, 25-17 on Tuesday night.  Mia Bonacorsi and Anna Beth Vancil combined to lead Greenville's attack with 10 kills each.

The Panthers finished with a total of 42 kills and 23 errors in 157 attacks, posting a hitting rate of .121.

GU performed best in the set they won, totaling a line of 14-7-43-.164, and converting 61 percent of their sideout chances.

Kaitlin Murray and Emma Ratermann each finished with 17 set assists as they ran a balanced attack.

Bonacorsi and Ratermann each tallied three service aces, and Chasity Hill led the defense with 26 digs.

At the net, Lainey Hicks contributed one solo block and two block assists.

The Panthers (5-7) will go to Spalding for their next match on Sept. 27.
