Women's volleyball sweeps Rose-Hulman in three sets

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's volleyball team rebounded with a three set win over Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night in H.J. Long Gymnasium.

Greenville dominated play with a 25-19, 25-14, 25-18 victory.

The Panthers accumulated 12 blocks in the match, led by Lainey Hicks with a solo block and five block assists. Mia Bonacorsi was right behind with one solo block and four block assists while Anna Beth Vancil chipped in four block assists.

GU's attack was led by Boncorsi and Vancil who each reached or exceed 10 kills. Bonacorsi posted 11 kills and five errors on 35 swings, posting a hitting percentage of .171.

Vancil had 10 kills and six errors in 25 attacks for a rate of .160.

Emma Ratermann led GU with 13 set assists, and Kaitlin Murray provide 12 set assists.

Lucia Garcia was extremely effective on defense with a team-high 15 digs. Abby Grohmann and Chasity Hill each recorded 11 digs.

The Panthers (12-8) travel to Lyon to play Lyon and Blackburn on Saturday.
