Women's volleyball stays in SLIAC lead with four set win at Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. - The women's volleyball team earned a 25-27, 25-19, 25-12, 25-8 four set win at Eureka on Tuesday night.

The Panthers finished the match with a season-high 21 kills from Mia Bonacorsi who posted over one-third of GU's kills. Greenville finished with 59 kills and 23 errors in 144 attacks and a hitting percentage of .250. Bonacorsi also added five service aces, one block assist, and a double-double with 13 digs.

GU achieved a swing line of 17/3/29/.483 in their dominating fourth set.

Joining Bonacorsi with double figure kills totals were Taryn Russell with 11 and Lainey Hicks with 10. Hicks also had one solo block and three block assists.

Kaitlin Murray posted 32 set assists, and Emma Ratermann added 21 set assists.

The Panthers (17-8, 12-1 SLIAC) will host MUW on Friday night at 7 p.m.
