Women's volleyball season ends in NCAA first round at Wisconsin-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The women's volleyball team dropped a three set match against Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the first round of the NCAA Division III women's volleyball tournament on Thursday night. Greenville steadily improved each set before falling 25-10, 25-17, 25-21.

Graduate students Mia Bonacorsi, Chasity Hill, and Kaitlyn Murray finished their careers by producing an overall record of 109-36 which included SLIAC tournament wins in the spring and fall of 2021 and also the 2023 season. They played in the 2021 and 2023 NCAA national tournaments.

First year players Abby Grohmann and Emma Ratermann provided GU's team high in kills and assists in Thursday's match. Grohmann posted six kills and Ratermann added 11 set assists.

Hill had over three times as many digs as any teammates with 15 in the match.

Mia deJesus continued her solid play at the net with three solo blocks and one block assist.

The Panthers completed their season with an overall record of 23-11, their eighth SLIAC tournament championship since 2010, and their seventh appearance in the NCAA national tournament in the last 14 years.
