Overocker and Seggerman lead the way for Bass Fishing on the Ohio

PADUCAH, Ky. - Nate Overocker and Evan Seggerman grinded out a 19th place finish on a very tough Ohio river system for their first tournament of the fall season.

They weighed in two smallmouth bass that weighed 2-11 and provided the team with some quality school of the year points both for the ACA tournament trail. This ended up moving the team up to third place for the School of the Year trophy with five more events to go this fall and the whole spring season.

This tournament was the end for the FLW central division and allowed Greenville to finish second in FLW points, falling just short of McKendree.

"This performance gives the team a lot of motivation going into these future events and shows we have the capability to compete with top-tier schools," said head coach Anthony Macon.

Unfortunately, the other two boats competing for Greenville were not as fortunate. Cordell Beckmann and Dru Johnson only weighed one for 1-2 (31st) but were struck with motor issues from the start.

Ricky Huge and Cale Jausel were unable to come across a good group of fish and also weighed one for 1-8 (28th).

The team has a short turn around as they head to Kentucky Lake during the week of Sept. 14 and compete in the FLW Open on Wednesday and Thursday and the Big Bass Bash on Saturday and Sunday.
