Men's basketball topped by Murray State in Kentucky

MURRAY, Ky. - The men's basketball team competed at Murray State on Sunday and lost 173-95 in their third game of the season against an NCAA Division I school.

Greenville fell behind 87-41 after the first half and was outdistanced 86-54 in the second half.

Three Panthers reached a double-digit scoring output. Romeo Ball was GU's leading scorer with 15 points, and Kenneth Cooley and Kameron Vinsel each had 12 points.

Dustin Bańkowski managed to lead the Panthers with six assists, and Vinsel posted team highs with five rebounds and five steals.

Justin Cross blocked two shots.

The Panthers (0-3) were scheduled to play at Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday, but that game was postponed. Greenville's next opponent has been announced as Illinois State on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Normal, Ill.
