DECATUR, Ill. - The men's basketball team fell 144-127 to Millikin on New Year's Day in their return to action after their Christmas vacation.

The Panthers and Big Blue were knotted at 63-all going into halftime, but Millikin outpaced Greenville 81-64 in the second half.

Cam Irvin led a collection of eight players that surpassed 10 points for GU with 20 points in the game. He made 6-of-15 field goal attempts, including 6-of-11 three-pointers and a pair of free throws.

Kaidyn Johnson ended with 19 points, and Carlos Crespo posted 16 points.

Romello Ball added 15 points, Jarred Johnson and Everett Campbell each had 12 points, Travis Dickey posted 11 points, and Kenneth Cooley managed a 10 point outing.

Greenville was led by Kaidyn Johnson and Crespo with five rebounds. Jarred Johnson, Campbell, and Dickey all had two steals.

The Panthers (1-10) host Principia on Tuesday in their SLIAC opener at 7:30 p.m.
