HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The men's tennis team faced a strong Nichols team on Tuesday and received a 7-2 loss despite four singles matches going to a third set tiebreaker.
Greenville received one of its wins from the No. 2 doubles combination of Clark Kent and Luke Motsinger who earned an 8-6 win.
No. 2 singles participant Rafael Rodriguez earned a 2-6, 6-2, 10-8 win as well.
Greenville's singles matches by No. 1 Andres Sanchez, No. 3 Kent, and No. 4 Motsinger all finished with a tiebreaker loss. In addition, Greenville dropped its No. 1 doubles and No. 3 doubles matches by an 8-6 score.
The Panthers (11-2) were defeated for just the second time this season, and they will play Carroll (Wis.) on Wednesday morning.
